Job Description

The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. Under the supervision of nursing staff, LNAs assist with daily living activities, support patient comfort, and contribute to the overall well-being of patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Patient Care:

    • Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.

    • Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.

    • Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).

    • Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.


  • Support Activities:

    • Assist with feeding patients and ensuring proper nutrition.

    • Help patients with toileting needs and incontinence care.

    • Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.


  • Documentation:

    • Accurately document patient care activities and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.

    • Participate in the development and implementation of care plans.


  • Collaboration:

    • Work closely with nurses and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care.

    • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding care needs.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.

  • Current LNA certification in the State of Massachusetts.

  • Previous experience as a nursing assistant is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and handle physical demands of the job.

  • Current BLS CPR certification is a plus.


Work Environment:

  • May work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, or home healthcare settings.

  • Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.


Contract Details:

  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks

  • Salary: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour

  • Expected Hours: Per diem/ Full time

  • Willingness to travel: Preferred for home health roles.
