Job Description
The Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings. Under the supervision of nursing staff, LNAs assist with daily living activities, support patient comfort, and contribute to the overall well-being of patients.
RESPONSIBILITIESÂ
Patient Care:
Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Help with mobility and transfers, ensuring patient safety.
Monitor and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure).
Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
Support Activities:
Assist with feeding patients and ensuring proper nutrition.
Help patients with toileting needs and incontinence care.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Documentation:
Accurately document patient care activities and report changes in patient conditions to nursing staff.
Participate in the development and implementation of care plans.
Collaboration:
Work closely with nurses and healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive care.
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding care needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
Current LNA certification in the State of Massachusetts.
Previous experience as a nursing assistant is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and handle physical demands of the job.
Current BLS CPR certification is a plus.
Work Environment:
May work in hospitals, long-term care facilities, rehabilitation centers, or home healthcare settings.
Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required.
Contract Details:
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Salary: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected Hours: Per diem/ Full time
Willingness to travel: Preferred for home health roles.
